When we’re considering hiring a service, the first question we ask ourselves is: will it be expensive to invest in SEO? As SEO consultant Kris Gomula says , investing in SEO should be viewed as a long-term investment. Furthermore, it doesn’t have to be a huge budget to become more visible on Google.

SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization. But to optimize a website, we need to go beyond keywords. We also need to consider other factors, such as:

The website’s loading speed. This means the page should be visible in less than 6 seconds. But if our page takes 3 seconds to load, even better.

Website structure and navigation. First and foremost, it’s important to make it easy for users to navigate our website. They should be able to do whatever they want (read an article, purchase a product, etc.) in less than three clicks.

Adaptable to all types of devices. This means the website looks good regardless of the device used. This means text won’t appear cut off on your smartphone or tablet, the menu won’t be responsive, etc.

Here we’ve only mentioned a few things that are taken into account to improve a website’s performance and help it attract a greater number of visitors.

You may have been shocked by the headline “integrated digital marketing.” What I’m trying to say is that we shouldn’t view SEO, email marketing, and social media as isolated elements. It’s important to think of them as a whole, forming part of our digital marketing strategy.

Therefore, it is important to consider other online strategies such as:

  • Content marketing
  • Email marketing
  • Social media management
  • Google Ads Campaigns
  • Campaigns on Facebook and Instagram

Measure and measure

But before starting any type of online project, we have to keep three things in mind:

  • What is our target?
  • What is the competition doing?
  • Does our business have an online presence?

Once we’re clear about our goals (gaining more visibility, increasing sales, etc.), we need to develop a strategy. We could combine SEO with Google Ads, for example.

But we can also focus on generating quality content based on keywords provided by the SEO expert to increase our chances of appearing at the top of Google. We can also share this content on our Google Business page or on our social media channels.

This way, we’ll be attracting the attention of users who can convert from potential customers to clients. But we’ll always have a holistic view of our online project. Of course,  we should always be measuring what’s happening on our website and social media. This will allow us to:

  • Have a closer relationship with our customers .
  • Improve our business. Sometimes we may find that clients point out a shortcoming in our project that we hadn’t previously identified. This will allow us to rectify and improve the company.
  • New business opportunities. We may discover a new service or product that our customers are demanding. This could give us the opportunity to open a new line of business.

Remember that investing in SEO will be the first step to knowing if we’re doing things right!
